STAINED GLASS EARRINGS A combination of stained glass work and silver jewelry is stained glass jewelry. With this method, I use the same kind of stained glass that I usually integrate in larger pieces like window panels, candle holders and jewelry boxes etc. I cut glass, shape it, grind it, foil it, and apply stained glass solder. The materials I use for the earrings are: Sterling silver for the ear wires (or surgical steel if ordered), glass, and stained glass solder for the framing of the glass pieces. The solder I use is a special, high quality solder that contains almost no lead (less that 0.1% in fact). Please check out the page about my stained glass work for more details about the solder I use, and where to get it if you work with stained glass yourself. Feeling interested?
